Overview

Reviews, drafts, and negotiates contracts and facilitates contracting process across the VNS Health enterprise. Ensures that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies. Manages the contract process to assure compliance with VNS Health's contractual guidelines and satisfaction of business specifications. Works under general supervision.

  • Analyzes market trends and provider performance to inform network development strategies. Ensures contract terms are clearly and accurately communicated to internal business leads and external Providers. Identifies nonstandard business and legal terms in contracts and obtains required approvals from VNS Health attorneys and Network leadership.
  • Drafts and revises forms, templates and various agreements, including, but not limited to, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and amendments and termination notices thereof, with guidance from and under the supervision of Network leadership.
  • Negotiates provider agreements, including fee schedules, value-based arrangements, and performance incentives.
  • Ensures prompt and clear internal and external communication on VNS Health contract-related matters and processes including approvals required prior to contract execution and expectations on timeframes for contract completion. Makes certain standard timeframes are met. Works with Network team to develop strategies for streamlining contract review process and managing contract volume.
  • Assists with the administration of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) System. Acts as CLM System Administrator. Assures that contract documents flow through the defined contract management process in a timely and orderly manner. Maintains VNS Health contract documents and files in CLM.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate contract management documents and tools, including but not limited to, contract request status reports, contract summary reports, and expiration reports. Delivers regular and ad hoc reports and analyses as requested. Maintains complete, accurate, and up-to-date contract records and audit trails as required.
  • Monitors contract performance and resolve disputes or escalations and ensure contracts comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Serves as the primary liaison for strategic providers, fostering collaborative partnerships. Conduct regular reviews of provider satisfaction and address operational issues.
  • Prepares reports on network adequacy, contracting status, and financial impact for leadership. Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience:
Minimum five years legal, procurement and/or contract management experience, preferably in health care requiredProven ability to interpret legal and contractual requirements and manage effective contracts requiredDemonstrated strong project management, analytical and negotiation skills requiredProficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook requiredAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredExperience with MediTract Contract Lifecyle Management System or similar platform preferred

Pay Range

USD $52.10 - USD $69.39 /Hr.
