Job Duties



  • Coordinate repair activities with contractors and maintain knowledge of safety requirements for equipment and facility operations.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repair work involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and machine preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment as needed.
  • Perform break-fix maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to maintenance activities.
  • Work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, contractors, and vendors to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Follow facility attendance and safety guidelines at all times.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.



Experience Requirements



  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Experience performing maintenance tasks for a large manufacturing facility
  • Experience coordinating tasks with various contractors.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to write reports
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize business critical tasks
  • Organizational skills, Good Written and Verbal skills
  • Ability to operate facility equipment such as Lifts and Power tools
  • Work independently and safely frequently monitoring facility infrastructure
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform audits on the facility security.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
  • Basic repairs and Electrical, HVAC and Compressed air knowledge
  • Basic MS Office, Word, Excel and email experience
  • Basic Plumbing and Carpentry knowledge
  • Can work proactively with little to no supervision
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. with regular walking and standing



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
