Primary Work Location Monument Health Orthopedic & Specialty HospitalDepartment MHOSH Sports Med/Anc ServicesScheduled Weekly Hours 40Job Summary Sports Medicine Supervisor - South Dakota Mines Director of Sports Medicine, Performance and WelfareThis position oversees the physical and mental care for all 13 of the South Dakota Mines varsity sports programs. Provides direct oversight to staff athletic trainers and performance coaches and collaborates with the athletic counseling department. The Sports Medicine Supervisor is responsible and accountable to ensure that South Dakota Mines' goals and objectives are aligned with the Monument Health strategic plan. Provides leadership for Athletic Training and Performance Services in the provision of high quality of care, continuity of department workflow, medical care, and safety in the Athletic Medicine Department of South Dakota Mines. Executes the Essential Functions of athletic/sports medicine in a manner that consistently provides service excellence to all customers. Works in conjunction with the manager and supervising provider to manage all department functions, implementation of new services, review of policy and procedures, and assist in writing of new policies. Demonstrates ongoing growth and development of self through active self-reflection, personal competency development strategies, and role modeling the "Grow myself, grow my team, and grow Monument Health (G3) Leadership Competencies" to promote our Monument Health vision and mission.
