The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy is a distinguished leader in pharmacy education, research, and service at the regional, national, and international levels. Primarily situated on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, the College also has extended campuses in Albany, Augusta, Savannah, and Metro Atlanta (Gwinnett). The College offers nationally recognized pharmacy and pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, experimental therapeutics, social and administrative sciences, and regulatory sciences degree programs and provides a rigorous, research-based curriculum taught by accomplished faculty in an experiential learning environment. | Position Summary |
The Senior Educational Technology Developer serves as the College of Pharmacy's primary production software engineer and technical operations specialist for educational technologies within the Office of Instructional Innovation and Research (
OIIR). The position translates instructional requirements and the UX/UI designs, interaction models, and prototypes into secure, reliable, accessible, and maintainable production applications.
The position designs, develops, tests, deploys, integrates, and maintains custom applications that support teaching, learning, assessment, simulation, research, and College operations. The incumbent owns production engineering decisions involving application architecture, databases, APIs, authentication, data exchange, deployment, security, monitoring, and application lifecycle management.
The position also serves as the primary administrator and support resource for the
LMS and College instructional technology platforms; coordinates technical issues with vendors and University partners; provides software-specific training and technical documentation; and serves as the College's Digital Accessibility Liaison. The position exercises substantial technical autonomy while reporting to and coordinating priorities with the Senior Instructional Designer. |
