Description

Responsibilities:



  • Chart each live race with respect to each horse's performance containing, but not limited to, fractional times, margins, odds, drivers, etc., and enter and upload this information to the USTA computer
  • Generate official judges' sheets for each race containing, but not limited to, fractional times, margins, odds, winning payoffs, owners, trainers, drivers, etc.
  • Enter and upload official racing results to the USTA computer
  • Complete transfers of horses with respect to filing the proper paperwork for use by the USTA
  • Handle calls and inquiries from horsemen regarding claimed horses, transfers, and other program office matters as they arise
  • Communicate with Judges and Race Office as necessary
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Work safely, following all established safety rules and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests
  • Follow all relevant policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Work Environment:



  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled

Starting Compensation:

Qualifications
Education
High School (required)
Experience
Must be licensed by the Delaware Harness Racing Commission (DHRC) and the United States Trotting Association (USTA) (required)
Must be able to use binoculars during charting of live racing (required)
Must be able to use a tape recorder for taking verbal notations during charting of live racing (required)
Must possess good communication skills (required)
Must be able to successfully pass a background check (required)
Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire (required)
Must be able to speak, read and write English (required)
