Overview (Scope of Role) The Maintenance Engineer provides technical support to the maintenance department by continuously monitoring equipment condition, providing recommendations and solutions to keep the plant's equipment operating at peak performance. The successful person must be able to work independently as well as with the maintenance team to support production operations and implement projects that achieve department and corporate goals. Must be able to independently troubleshoot issues, define project scope, and execute on assigned action items, interact with contractors and vendors, and be able to travel when needed. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a sound understanding of engineering best practices is required. This position reports to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities
Works under the general direction of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. The successful person works closely with the maintenance supervisor, reliability engineer, mechanics, and technicians providing them with engineering support.
