About the Job

This position assists with the successful operation of athletic events and other campus events by providing game-day support, event setup and tear-down, ticketing, guest and visiting team assistance, and scorer's table operations. This position works closely with Athletics staff, event personnel, visiting teams, officials, and spectators to help ensure events are organized, welcoming, and run smoothly.

Positions Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation, operation, and conclusion of home athletic events and other assigned campus events
  • Support scorer's table and game-day operations, which may include:
    • Operating or assisting with the scoreboard
    • Managing game clock and/or other event technology
    • Assisting with instant replay operations
    • Managing event music and audio
    • Spotting and recording game information and statistics as assigned
    • Supporting other scorer's table responsibilities as needed
  • Assist with event setup and tear-down, including arranging equipment, tables, chairs, signage, and other event materials before and after events
  • Assist with ticket sales and admission, including selling tickets, collecting admission fees, providing information to spectators, and assisting with entry procedures
  • Provide support and hospitality to visiting teams, coaches, athletic staff, and game officials, including helping with event logistics and directing individuals to appropriate facilities and locations
  • Assist with game-day logistics, including team and official arrival, locker room assignments, equipment needs, event timing, and other operational needs
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to students, employees, athletes, visiting teams, officials, and spectators
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming event environment and report concerns or issues to the appropriate Athletics or event staff
  • Follow established Athletics, event, cash-handling, safety, and facility procedures
  • Communicate effectively with Athletics staff and other event personnel before, during, and after events
  • Remain flexible and assist with additional event-related duties as needed to support successful event operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience or knowledge supporting athletic events, recreational programs, event operations, or a related area
  • Knowledge of athletic events and game-day operations
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
