Description

The Quality Control Manager is charged with developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer and federal/state/county specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Ensures that a high standard of knowledge, training and safety are developed, exceeded, and maintained by all technicians.
  • Develops and implements a quality production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards.
  • Revises and updates the quality control manual to incorporate statistical control programs.
  • Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
  • Responsible for providing all specification sheets and test results to City, County, State and private accounts per requests.
  • Ensures that scales are calibrated and current with all governmental agencies.
  • Responsible for the supervision of all lab testing equipment and activities per specifications on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for understanding and staying current with a wide variety of cement types and asphalt applications, equipment and processes needed to ensure a high level of service is achieved.
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing employee performance evaluations in a timely manner.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Superior interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
  • Good communications ability, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to perform manual tasks occasionally.
  • Proven ability to perform and maintain a positive attitude, work safely and provide a quality product.
  • Must have current, valid Oregon Drivers License (with endorsement if necessary).
  • Must be able to demonstrate proof of insurability during any period of employment with KRWOD.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in supervisory positions utilizing a combination of technical, managerial, sales and financial expertise.
  • Experience in estimating format.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
