Description
Fix It. Maintain It. Make It Better.

A great hotel doesn't run on its own.

Behind every comfortable guest room, working air conditioner, clean pool, functioning piece of equipment, and well-maintained space is a team of people who make sure everything works the way it should.

We're looking for an Engineer who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, learning new skills, and taking pride in a job well done.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are exactly alike. One day you may be troubleshooting an HVAC issue, the next you may be repairing a sink, maintaining pool equipment, completing preventative maintenance, or helping restore a guest room fixture.

If you like variety, enjoy working with tools, and get satisfaction from seeing something go from "needs attention" to "fixed," this could be the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
  • Complete maintenance work orders to maintain hotel quality standards.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments, including guest room "room care."
  • Inspect electrical systems such as:

    • Air-conditioning controls
    • Lighting systems
    • Television systems

  • Perform minor electrical repairs and replacements as appropriate.
  • Assist with routine repairs and major repair projects involving hotel equipment and systems.
  • Work with equipment and systems including:

    • HVAC
    • Boilers
    • Pool equipment
    • Plumbing systems
    • Kitchen equipment
    • Laundry equipment
    • Small appliances
    • Hand and power tools

  • Service the hotel pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
  • Complete maintenance request forms and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
  • Help maintain the hotel's exterior and overall curb appeal.
  • Assist with painting, gardening, lawn care, and other exterior maintenance needs.
  • Repair and refurbish guest room furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters.
  • Paint and finish furniture and fixtures when needed.
  • Respond courteously and professionally to guest questions, complaints, and maintenance requests.
  • Operate heavy machinery as required.
  • Work safely in varying temperatures and physical environments.
  • Communicate work progress and maintenance concerns to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Engineering and hotel teams.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

The position covers a broad range of hotel maintenance responsibilities, including preventative maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, pool equipment, kitchen and laundry equipment, exterior upkeep, and guest room repairs. Engineer - for merge

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A natural problem-solver who enjoys figuring out how things work.
  • Hands-on and comfortable using tools and equipment.
  • Dependable and accountable for completing assigned work.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality.
  • Safety-minded and willing to follow proper safety and security procedures.
  • Adaptable and comfortable handling a variety of maintenance tasks.
  • A team player who is willing to pitch in and help coworkers.
  • A strong communicator who can receive instructions and provide updates on work.
  • Guest-focused and understands that maintenance directly impacts the guest experience.
  • Professional and courteous when interacting with guests and coworkers.
  • Willing to learn and develop new technical skills.

The role requires climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting approximately 25-50 pounds, as well as the ability to communicate work progress and follow instructions. Engineer - for merge

Why Join Our Engineering Team?

Because you get to see the impact of your work.

A guest walks into a room and the AC is working perfectly.

A broken fixture has been repaired.

The pool is clean and properly maintained.

The hallway looks fresh.

A plumbing issue has been resolved before it becomes a bigger problem.

A piece of equipment is back up and running.

That's your work.

Engineering is one of those departments where you can often see the difference you've made before your shift is even over.

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

You might be the perfect fit if you're the person who:

Sees a problem and wants to figure out how to fix it.

Likes working with your hands.

Takes pride in doing things correctly-not just quickly.

Enjoys learning how different systems work.

Doesn't mind getting a little dirty.

Can handle a variety of tasks without needing to be told what to do every minute.

Knows when to troubleshoot independently and when to ask for help.

Takes pride in a hotel that looks good, feels comfortable, and operates properly.

Our Engineering team is expected to maintain professional work habits, remain adaptable, solve routine problems, learn new skills, and follow hotel safety and security procedures. Engineer - for merge

More Than Maintenance-You're Protecting the Guest Experience.

Guests may never know your name.

They may never see you fix the problem.

But they'll notice when everything works.

When their room is comfortable.

When the water is running properly.

When the lights work.

When the pool is ready.

When the hotel looks cared for.

That's the difference you make.

Ready to Put Your Skills to Work?

If you're a dependable, hands-on professional who enjoys maintenance, troubleshooting, teamwork, and making things better, we'd love to meet you.

Bring your skills.
Bring your curiosity.
Bring your problem-solving mindset.
