Medical Supply & Operations Technician-AT

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and organized Medical Supply and Facilities Support Technician to support daily healthcare operations at two correctional facilities. Reporting to the Director of Infection Prevention, this position is responsible for maintaining medical supply inventory, organizing storage areas, handling biohazard waste, coordinating vendor deliveries, and ensuring clinical areas remain properly stocked and operational.

The ideal candidate has experience with inventory management, stocking, warehouse operations, facilities support, or general maintenance and can work independently while following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of medical equipment and supplies at both facilities.
• Ensure supply rooms are organized, clean, and adequately stocked.
• Conduct weekly rounds of sick call rooms and replenish medical supplies as needed.
• Maintain designated biohazard storage areas, including packaging biohazard waste, transporting full containers to designated disposal bins, and preparing waste for scheduled pickup.
• Coordinate vendor pickups and deliveries, including shredding services, water delivery, pharmacy deliveries, and other service providers.
• Monitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to prevent shortages.
• Receive, organize, and distribute incoming supplies and equipment throughout the facilities.
• Ensure medical areas, clinical examination rooms, and bathrooms are stocked with essential items, including soap and paper towels.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor mechanical tasks as needed.
• Follow all facility safety procedures and applicable protocols for handling and transporting supplies and biohazard waste.
• Assist with other operational support duties as assigned.
