Job Description

The HRIS Systems Specialist is a member of the UM System Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team and provides specialized functional support for the University's eRecruit recruiting and preboarding systems and processes. The position supports recruiting activities across six business units, including the four universities, MU Health Care, and UM System.
This position serves as a primary functional resource for eRecruit, supporting recruiters, hiring departments, HR professionals, applicants, and new hires throughout the recruiting and preboarding process. The position assists with applicant and user issues, maintains recruiting system configuration and reference data, coordinates system testing, supports regulatory and business process changes, and helps ensure eRecruit processes continue to meet the operational needs of the University.

Experience with recruiting systems, applicant tracking processes, HR information systems, or related functional areas will be important to the success of this position.

Key Responsibilities

In addition, this position will:

* Provide functional support for eRecruit and preboarding processes, including researching and resolving applicant, recruiter, hiring manager, and HR user issues; troubleshooting unexpected system behavior; and coordinating resolution of complex issues with HRIS functional and technical teams.
* Support applicant and new-hire experiences throughout the recruiting and preboarding lifecycle, including troubleshooting application, candidate, offer, and preboarding issues and helping identify opportunities to improve system usability and customer service.
* Maintain eRecruit configuration and supporting libraries, including recruiting-related tables, libraries, minimum qualification information, and other system configuration necessary to support University recruiting processes.
* Perform extensive functional testing of eRecruit, including testing associated with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) images, patches, fixes, enhancements, configuration changes, and break/fix activities. Develop test scenarios, document test results, identify defects, perform regression testing, and coordinate issue resolution prior to production implementation.
* Assist with the review and implementation of PeopleSoft updates, patches, fixes, and enhancements impacting recruiting and preboarding. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to evaluate impacts, coordinate testing, document results, and support implementation.
* Lead and facilitate recurring recruiting system meetings with HR and recruiting stakeholders across the University. Coordinate agendas, communicate system updates and known issues, facilitate discussion of enhancement requests and process changes, and track follow-up items requiring HRIS attention.
* Monitor changes to state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines that may affect recruiting, applicant processing, hiring, and preboarding processes. Partner with appropriate HR, compliance, and business stakeholders to evaluate potential system or process impacts and coordinate necessary changes.
* Evaluate business and system enhancement requests related to eRecruit and recommend system solutions, configuration changes, process improvements, or alternative approaches to meet business requirements.
* Recommend improvements to recruiting and preboarding processes, including customer service improvements, system enhancements, configuration changes, and opportunities to simplify or standardize processes across business units.
* Serve as a liaison between HRIS, recruiters, HR professionals, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders for eRecruit-related initiatives, production issues, enhancements, and projects.
* Support data integrity and reporting for recruiting processes by developing or maintaining queries and reports, researching data discrepancies, and using system data to identify and resolve recruiting-related issues.
* Develop and maintain system documentation, including functional procedures, testing documentation, configuration information, troubleshooting resources, and user guidance related to eRecruit and preboarding.
* Maintain awareness of PeopleSoft recruiting functionality and HR technology trends, identifying opportunities to improve the University's recruiting technology, processes, service delivery, and applicant experience.
* Analyze and report the need for system enhancements or customization
