Summary:  We are seeking a Trust Officer to join the team within Premier Trust, a member of Osaic. The Trust Officer is responsible for the administration of assigned accounts. Our selected candidate will represent the company in business activities and contacts with customers, outside professionals and beneficiaries relating to these accounts. This position will have discretionary distribution approval based on Board approved levels. The Trust Officer assures compliance with all policies and procedures governing trust functions, as well as all applicable state regulations. Additionally, the position of Trust Officer may be responsible for one or more employee(s). Responsibilities:  
  Administrates accounts in accordance with the terms of the governing instrument and in a manner consistent with the needs of principals, beneficiaries, and remaindermenContact or correspond with persons, agencies, and organizations that have an interest in any aspect of an accountMaintain an awareness of new business opportunities and advise or consult with other officers on details of proposed plans and communicate information to marketing administrator for follow up Assists in analyzing the need of funds according to conditions of trust needs of beneficiary. Coordinate and review the preparation for filing federal and state tax returns for trusts. Establish and maintain client dataInitiate and/or assist in the funding on new accountsInteracts frequently with subordinates, peers and functional managersOperates personal computer and all necessary programs to obtain and process dataMaintains strict confidentiality of all records and data received and producedAnswers questions via telephones, emails, and directs callers to proper personnelResponsible for compliance with all company policies, state laws and regulationsComplies with Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA"), OFAC Anti-Money Laundering ("AML"), and USA PATRIOT ACT policies, procedures, by properly verifying the identity of any person/business an account, maintaining records of the information used to verify each costumer and consulting lists of known terrorists before opening an accountComplies with the compliance policies and proceduresEnsures the proper risk-rate customer as outlined in the Customer Identification Program Report any customer suspected of suspicious activity immediately to the BSA/Compliance OfficerParticipate in required annual BSA/AML/OFAC and Compliance trainingConsistently reports to work on time; adhere to scheduled breaks; attends all meetings and training as required of the positionExhibits objectively and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spiritUnderstands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability, aligns work with strategic goalsTreats people with respect; keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values; accepts responsibility for own actionsDemonstrates knowledge of and adherence to EEO policy; shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; promotes working environment free of harassment of any type; builds a diverse workforce Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the company goals and valuesPerforms the position safely, without endangering health or safety to himself or herself or others, will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions.   Two or more years of related experience in the trust industry and/or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience must consist of Trust Administration experience in the financial services industry. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.Strong knowledge of related state trust compliance regulations, policies and procedures, products and services and other trust operational policiesProficiencies skills in personal computer operation; word processing, spreadsheet (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel etc.) programsTyping skills to meet production needs of the positionIntermediate math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; Ability to compute ratios, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsGood oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employeesAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsEffective organizational and time management skillsAbility to work with minimal or no supervision while performing dutiesCurrent driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilitiesDemonstrates sensitivity to deadlines and ability to multi-taskCapability to work independently and with a teamAbility to delegate tasks when necessaryAptitude to deal with routine to difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations Preferred Requirements: |
