The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the incumbent is responsible for the pre-and post-award management of grants and contracts in the Columbia Nano Initiative, including the financial management of multiple SRC centers. This position will work closely with other pre- and post-award managers to provide comprehensive project lifecycle management and services for a subset of the department's faculty PI's, including but not limited to proposal preparation, submission, post-award set-up, annual expense validations, grant reporting, and closeouts while performing other related duties. Working closely with the SRC Center Directors oversees the financial management of the department's three SRC Centers. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in business, accounting, management, grants management, or related field. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master's degree, preferably in business, accounting, management, or related field. Experience: Familiarity with federal grants & contracts management is highly preferred, knowledge of Uniform Guidance and federal compliance policies will be considered an advantage. Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Excel, familiarity with pivot tables and formulae, familiarity with Oracle financial systems such as ARC, editing and proofreading experience a plus Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents. |
