Major Activities and Key Challenges: The primary focus of this position will be to drive and support environmental, health, safety, and fatality prevention programs and related projects through risk identification, working with management and associate teams to promote significant EHS improvements at Alloy Products factory. EHS Plant Engineer's additional responsibilities include the evaluation of new safety equipment, improving and expanding upon existing EHS programs, and continued development of safety awareness. Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes. Assess and monitor site compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations; works with plant personnel to ensure compliance. Actively seeks out hazards and works with department leadership to address. Maintain all agencies required programs, training, logs, records, and reports. Facilitate incident prevention and investigate industrial incidents (RCA) to determine their causes and to prevent reoccurrence. Manage the return to work and light duty programs. Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to make sure that they meet safety requirements. Conduct risk and hazard analysis for critical positions. Maintain statistical analysis of associate accidents and injuries to target specific areas for Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis. Ensures that the buildings, processes, and products comply with health and safety regulations, especially after an inspection that requires changes. Develops and conducts EHS-related training sessions. Provide monthly safety reviews and targeted compliance audits. Collaborates in the development and implementation of EHS policy and procedures. Adheres in full compliance with Company policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in safety or related discipline from an accredited institution 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing setting Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of molten metal experience Experience leading machinery safety and energy isolation safety Working Conditions: Full time, first shift. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
