The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country with a mission of combating municipal corruption. It serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent and nonpartisan watchdog for New York City government, City agencies, City employees, vendors with City contracts, individuals, and entities that receive City funds. Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or Preferred Skills
-Bachelor's Degree. -Minimum of two years of successful human resources experience in a NYC government agency. -Familiarity with Orientation and other HR processes. -Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion with limited supervision. -Strong organizational and project management skills. -Outstanding presentation, writing, and communications skills strong customer service skills -Excellent MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Outlook skills intermediate/advanced knowledge of City HRIS systems, including CHRMS NYCAPS and PMS. -Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. -Ability to maintain confidentiality. -Familiarity with New York City's Civil Service Process. -Knowledge of New York City's Automated Personnel System (NYCAPS), CHRMS and PMS. 55a Program

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
