Ultrasound Techologist Lead (Full-Time Day), Toms River, NJ

Job Overview:

The lead sonographer provides patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment. The lead sonographer is competent in the production and analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgment in the performance of sonographic services.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited school
• ARDMS
• BLS through the American Heart Association

Preferred:

• 1 year previous supervisory experience

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time
• Day Shift
• 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

• Provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment
• Quality production and analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment
• Render quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgement in the performance of ultrasound services
• Recognizes examination findings that may require immediate clinical response and notify Radiologist
• Recognizes sonographic representation of normal and abnormal structures, organ, systems relationships and relational anatomy
• Performs other duties as assigned
