Overview: Our client, a growing company in the retail sector with an international presence, is seeking a Finance Director to oversee and manage all financial activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring the financial health and strategic direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including weekly reporting of financial results and ongoing forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis.
  • Develop and analyze financial models and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and update financial forecasts and projections regularly.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, including the preparation of financial models and presentation materials for senior leadership.
  • Participate in the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Identify and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage and forecast business performance.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations, summarizing detailed financial information and key findings.
  • Continuously identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the retail sector required.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
