Global Banking & Markets current regulatory engagement model requires uplift to unify approach and messaging externally, standardize and enhance regulatory relations exams and responses, improve remediation outcomes and accountability across the division.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team. Your opportunity for high visibility impact includes engaging with regulatory agencies and internal business unit leaders, providing expert guidance on regulatory matters, control and remediation, coordinating throughout out the division, managing examination and internal stakeholder meetings and communication.

Responsibilities



  • Partner with Business Unit Leaders, COOs, Compliance to manage regulatory exams, enquiries, MRIAs
  • Adopting centralized standards for management of regulatory relations, exams and responses
  • Standardize regulatory remediation execution, tracking and reporting across the Global Banking & Markets division
  • Implementation of processes & governance uplift with Business Leaders, Compliance, Legal, Engineering
  • Drive strategic initiatives to streamline existing preventive and detective controls design, workflows, and processes across different regulatory obligations.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on covered obligations/functions and collaborate with various working groups across multiple stakeholders to ensure all risks are mitigated and managed properly.
  • Face of business at internal governance forums & regulatory engagement
  • Identify ways to share risk best practice across teams and functions, and with other business lines where like processes exist/there is exposure to similar risk
  • Develop management reporting (e.g. metrics, dashboards) to improve visibility and facilitate escalation to obligation owners, desks, and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of Global Banking & Markets businesses and ability to build relationships with sales / trading personnel.



Preferred Qualifications

This role requires an energetic self-starter that can liaise with various Global Banking & Markets teams both regionally and globally. Solid understanding of the Global Banking & Markets franchise offered by the Firm and experience within a risk management context are required. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills along with an interest in the broader control environment within financial services are essential to succeed in this role.



  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas with different levels across Global Banking & Markets stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows, and excellent attention to details.
  • Innovative, including a keen eye for identifying areas of control enhancements and automation which have practical value. Good influencing skills to challenging the status quo and continuously enhance the control environment.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance and action plans for the firm.
  • Ability to translate and analyze data to perform root cause / trending / impact analyses to drive decision making.
  • Experience working with Technology including defining and clarifying business requirements.
  • Ability to manage timelines/deadlines, multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to identify and articulate complex issues to a diverse group of stakeholders, propose mitigants/solutions and escalate appropriately.
  • Ability to craft and generate effective and influential presentations, metrics, reporting to a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Sound time management skills to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate as a global team and build strong relationship with key stakeholders across Divisions.
  • Keeps current with emerging business, economic and market trends
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Years of experience 4-7

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
