The on-call laborer is responsible for general labor duties as directed by the individual supervising their tasks or assignments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

* Assist with moving materials, office furniture and items from/to storage area and work sites * Assist with sorting and placing materials or items as directed * Assist with inventory count and in all areas of production as needed * Assist with set-up or tear-down of materials, display cases, equipment as needed * Keep workspace tidy and clear of all clutter, to include cords * Sweeping, dusting, mopping and other janitorial duties as directed by supervisor, organizing storage areas. * May use power tools and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Ahtna's safety policy * Perform other duties as assigned

* Ability to work a flexible schedule, and to fill in as needed, sometimes on short-notice.

Preferred Qualifications : |
* Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures * High school graduate or GED equivalent. * A valid Alaska Driver's License.

Frequent standing, walking and sometimes sitting; using hands/fingers requiring dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper, reaching with hands and arms for items above and below desk level, talking, hearing, and seeing; exposure to dust, wet and/or humid conditions; working outside in varying weather conditions; exposure to loud noises; walking from place to place within the office with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 2 hours; must be able to lift 30-50 pounds such as small office equipment, files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials.
