Position Summary:
Applies advanced, specialized knowledge of accounting principles, methods and techniques to perform complex accounting functions and analyses in areas of financial analysis, cost accounting, general accounting, budgeting, planning and forecasting. Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, analyses, systems, and processes.

The Accounting Analyst will be a key member of the accounting team and will directly support at least one manufacturing location. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Applying principles of accounting to analyze a variety of financial information

* Supporting the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and financial reports

* Maintaining and improving our PowerBI suite of tools

* Working with Manufacturing Leadership to enhance internal controls and identify profit improvement opportunities

* Helping maintain and improve cost accounting practices

Perfect candidate is self-motivated, has a strong sense of curiosity, exhibits high-energy, is willing to learn new things, voices their opinion, is driven to make improvements to existing processes, and able to work both independently and effectively with others as a team. Candidate performs tasks with excellent attention to detail, while keeping sight of the big picture.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

* 3-7 years of experience, preferably in a Manufacturing Environment

* Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and manufacturing systems. Experience with PowerBI and Microsoft Access are helpful

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
