JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Smeal College of Business seeks to hire a teaching assistant. This position would assist Dr. Ghadar as TA for two MBA courses, FIN855 and MGMT861; the time frame will be Aug/Oct for 7 weeks. This position would be responsible for working closely with Dr. Ghadar in all aspects of course management. Class time-frame is Tue/Thurs, 10:30a.m.-12:30p.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Duties include:

  • Coordinate with Dr. Ghadar on a regular basis to review daily activities and expectations for class/students
  • Be present during all or, a portion of each class
  • Keep attendance, communicate with students via email and Canvas
  • Read Cases and be prepared to help with questions
  • Act as liaison between students and Dr. Ghadar
  • Assist administrative coordinator with various duties related to setting up each course.

Requirements:

Hours per week will vary based on needs and flow of work for each class. Estimated time would be 15-20 hours per week. Class schedule is end of August through first week of October.
