JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Undersea Systems Office (USO) in the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University is seeking a Part-Time Research and Development Engineer. This position will serve as a consultant through the development of complex systems, applying best practices in hydrodynamic analysis, control algorithm development, systems architecture and concept development, modeling and simulation, systems integration and testing. Responsibilities Include:
A Master's degree (Doctorate degree preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics is desired. Previous experience with Department of Defense or Department of Navy is preferred. Candidates selected will be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
