Job Title: GCP Cloud Security Engineer

Location(s): Fairfax, VA

Responsibilities:

1. Documentation



  • System maintenance technical documentation
  • Environment documentation - standard operating procedures
  • Discovery of new network components and resources
  • Documentation of configuration management database


2. Status Updates & Reporting



  • Security and compliance reporting
  • Periodic status of SLAs and KPIs


3. Root Cause Analysis and Fixes (RCA)



  • Analysis and identification of repeat incident patterns for permanent fixes
  • Updating automation scripts based on RCA


4. Application Support



  • Support, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
  • Production deployments Configuration Management.
  • Availability and performance management.
  • Upgrades and patching


5. Monitoring and Alerting



  • Analysis and definition of alert thresholds and logging
  • Incident prevention
  • Periodic maintenance activities



Experience & Qualifications :



  • 3+ years of Cloud Security Support experience
  • 2+ years of working with payment systems
  • Experience supporting Cloud/SaaS software products and APIs is highly coveted
  • XaaS technologies, platforms, and applications
  • Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC
  • An ability to analyse user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • An ability to design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  • Experience with debugging existing software and correcting defects
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile software development environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Dedicated to champion customer problem until resolution
