ROUTE: St. Charles, St. Peters, O'Fallon, Lake St. louis

JOB TITLE: Part-Time Merchandiser

BASE RATE PER HOUR: $16/hr

MILEAGE: $0.67/mile starting from first store and ending at last store.

SHIFT: Part-Time position-19hrs/wk Weekends only

HOURS: Approx 7am start time, ending around 3:30pm

Job Summary (State overall purpose of the job in 2-3 sentences)

Part-Time Retail Merchandisers is responsible for merchandising Campbell's Snacks Salty line of quality products in local stores. As a Merchandiser, you will drive your personal vehicle (with gas mileage reimbursement) to a variety of store locations, retrieve Campbell's Snacks products, and merchandise the product throughout the store. Merchandiser hours vary based upon assigned route and average less than 20 hours per week. This includes weekend and holiday work in all weather conditions.

  • Merchandises assigned stores as scheduled
  • Merchandising cases from the back room to the sales floor, filling display units or shelves with products
  • Follows assigned plano-grams for in gondola space; rotates product to assure freshness; moves and transfers short dated product from lower volume to higher volume accounts; removes out-of-code and damaged product from account shelves; prices merchandise in a correct manner; cleans and replaces defective shelving.
  • Customer Focus: when you are in the stores with our customers, you help them find what they need and deliver service that exceeds their expectations
  • Communication: you will be working closely with other Campbell's Snack team members and it's important to communicate regularly; good communication also includes checking in and out with store management
  • Merchandising cases from the back room to the sales floor, filling display units or shelves with products
  • Maintains neat, clean and orderly displays in all displayable accounts; follows and adheres to company approved merchandising procedures and plans; reclaims and replaces outmoded or defective display equipment; keeps material current at all times.
  • Rotating products and removing defective and out-of-dateproducts
  • Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines and procedures for safe housekeeping.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly personal appearance; adheres to Company Dress Code; conducts business in an ethical and professional manner; is courteous and polite to customers and the general public;
  • Performs other job-related assignments, duties or projects as directed by the MSL or RSS.
  • Reporting of mileage bi-monthly to RSS

Knowledge and Skill Requirements (Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job - writing skills, communication skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, license, specific technical skills, etc. List licenses or professional certifications required for the job.)

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle that you can use to travel to multiple locations within a shift and be willing to work on weekends and holidays

Education and Experience (Minimum and preferred educational requirements, years of experience needed to successfully perform the job - High School or GED, High School plus specialized vocation or technical education, college degree)

High School Diploma or GED, along with related experience and/or training required. Prior route merchandising experience is a plus.

Professional Licenses or Certifications (List professional licenses or certificates required for the job)

Must have current driver's license. Must provide proof of insurance.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel. The employee must be able to sit most of the day, typing and using the phone.

Compensation and Benefits: The starting rate for this Part time hourly position is $16 per hour.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
