What You Will Do: Manage Contracted Service Providers:
Ensures proper facilitation of pre-construction meetings, progress update meetings, deliverable reviews, lessons-learned, etc. Holds all contractors accountable for their construction estimates, schedules and execution plans Tracks service performance, provides performance feedback, and evaluates contractors Prepares RFP proponent lists and recommends contractor selection
Ensure Compliance:
Ensures regulatory approvals and material testing requirements are met Manage MP Field Execution: Plans, organizes and directs all field construction teams to complete Projects within the approved budgets, required deadlines and associated legal contracts.
Manages Construction Contract:
Evaluates project performance and communicates changes to stakeholders and sponsors Works with all stakeholders to identify and execute the most optimal and cost-efficient construction strategy across all projects Proactively identifies and mitigates potential construction execution risks Optimizes and minimizes project cost through identification of opportunities, implementation of solutions, and continuous improvement Identifies and recommends enhancements to construction standards and specifications Promotes consistency across the company with regards to construction practices and processes
Manage Change:
Anticipates and deals with concerns and resistance to change effectively Demonstrates change leadership through personal actions Ensure Project Quality: Ensures quality issues are documented and corrected
Ensure Project Safety:
Supports continuous improvement of the safety culture within Enbridge striving towards zero incidents Creates opportunities for employees and contractors to participate in safety activities Fosters a reporting culture that is absent of retribution or retaliation for reporting safety concerns Works with project management personnel to provide a field presence to champion safety
Manage Field Construction Team:
Ensures inspection staff is knowledgeable of Enbridge specifications, processes, procedures, practices, tools, best practices and change management Provides leadership, direction and planning of resource management (labor, equipment, materials) to achieve objectives Provides technical expertise on field related practices and procedures, as well as research solutions to technical questions Maintain, build and improve strong positive relationships with team and stakeholders Sets high performance standards for self and supports the organization's vision, values and direction Helps others identify and prioritize their development objectives
Support Project Development:
Contribute to the development of construction scope, cost estimates, spend profiles, schedules and contracting strategies Provides support to the Engineering team to ensure project estimate accuracy and constructability Provides Construction input to the Master Schedule in order to proactively optimize all execution and scheduling logistics of the portfolio Responsible for the Creation of a clear and concise construction execution plan
Builds Relationships with Industry representatives (Construction Contractors, Service providers, etc.) Engage with Project Controls:
Ensure construction performance and updates to spend profiles, forecasts, and schedules are completed timely. This reporting is then communicated to management. "No Surprises" Mentality Responsible for the identification of potential cost, scope and schedule overruns in order to determine and implement appropriate mitigation plans Ensures contracts are tracked and closed
Engage with Supply Chain:
Who You Are:
Applicable University degree, College diploma, or related construction management and or operational training and or experience within the energy industry. Minimum of 7+ years progressively responsible working experience in the pipeline and/or facilities industry, including a strong working knowledge of pipeline and/or facilities construction principles, industry standards, governmental regulations and complex detailed and/or project management experience. Must have exposure to Engineering, Construction and Field operations Excavation, Welding, Hoisting, Equipment Knowledge Compressor Station, Metering and Regulator Stations and Pipeline experience knowledge Familiar with Gas Transmission Regulatory agencies (FERC, PHMSA, etc.) Familiar with industry codes, regulations, standards and specifications Excellent oral and written communications skills Software experience with MS Office Suite and Oracle Valid driver's license Legal ability to cross the U.S. - Canadian border

Working Conditions:
Office environment with some field work required. Scheduled travel to Enbridge offices, operating facilities, and construction sites (up to 50%) Available outside normal work hours to address any technical, cost, safety and environmental issues that occur during active projects. Weekends and holidays may be required if urgency dictates. Medium to high mental stress levels occur at times during critical instances.
