JOB TYPE Classification: Nonexempt Supervises Positions: Yes JOB SUMMARY The House Supervisor will act as the in-house administrative representative and resource person for all patients, staff, staff physicians, and visitors. Patient Care:Works with team members to develop or improve processes to assure a remarkable patient experience.
Quality:Works in partnership with leaders to create, support, and maintain a culture of professional accountability.
Communication:Ensures timely and consistent communication to provide exemplary care.
Medical Knowledge:Demonstrates core knowledge of biomedical and clinical sciences and the application of this knowledge to patient care.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate from an NLNAC accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. Graduate degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required. Management experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Current RN licensure in applicable state required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Has knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to modify care and interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care according to patient's age, health, and developmental status. Has demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, good interpersonal skills, and good intra and interdepartmental relationships. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code: 3A, Administration Work Function/Activity: Sedentary to Light Physical Demand The job requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending/stooping. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
