The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing accurate and timely Unclaimed Property and Non-Employee Withholding Tax reporting and analysis to support the business decisions of Koch Companies. The Senior Accounting Analyst will also assist with a wide range of annual projects such as 1099/1042-S Mock Run exercises, annual Unclaimed Property Self-Assessments, and state and IRS audit requests. This analyst will assist in the development and implementation of reporting policies and procedures, while also providing credible and risk-adjusted guidance across the Koch enterprise.

Our Team

Our team consists of a collaborative global team handling all Unclaimed Property and 1099/1042 compliance and reporting for the Koch companies.

What You Will Do
* Review and analyze business 1099/1042-S reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
* Review and analyze business Unclaimed Property reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators.
* Support the Koch companies' efforts towards Non-Employee Withholding Tax and Unclaimed Property compliance, as well as the strategic planning and business development initiatives.
* Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide reporting insights and recommendations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Experience utilizing general accounting principles in a professional setting
* Experience performing VLOOKUP's, pivot tables and analyzing a subset of data within Microsoft Excel.
* Experience communicating and presenting complex compliance issues across a variety of stakeholders
* Experience collaborating with cross functional groups

* Experience handling multiple tasks and competing priorities.

What Will Put You Ahead
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
* Knowledge of Koch Industries' businesses and values preferred.
* Experience in filing 1099 or 1042 returns.
* Experience with Unclaimed Property compliance.
* SharePoint experience preferred.
* Ability to research and interpret tax law while understanding potential impact on the company's risk profile.
