The Sales Account Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. You will provide leadership toward the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with Maynard's vision and value. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for implementing the company's sales and marketing strategy, identifying and qualifying leads while consistently closing business in order to exceed their sales quota. Lastly, work hand in hand with all foundry departments (production, quality, engineering, etc.), to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures the attainment of Maynard's sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiates and coordinates the development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Prepares action plans for effective searches of sales leads and prospects.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Provides timely feedback to Vice President regarding account performance.
  • Set up meetings between qualified prospects to discuss prospective projects.
  • Obtain and follow up on all RFQs (request for quotes).
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations to upper management and customers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
  • Oversee sales clerical assistants & sales representatives
  • Accept and reject sales orders; negotiate pricing, back charges, and returns
  • Other job duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 5-7 Years of experience in sales/account management in steel castings.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor in Business highly desired.
  • Ability to use a telephone and computer efficiently
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
