Are you ready to take on a pivotal role where you can be a technical and business domain expert, an embedded Architect, and an innovation champion for American Funds Service Group (AFSG)-related solutions? As a Solutions Engineer Lead, you will collaborate with business leaders, architects, and portfolio managers to shape and influence business and technology strategies. You'll outline target state solutions and develop product roadmaps in partnership with our delivery teams.

What You'll Do:

• Facilitate the growth of our associates, promote delivery excellence, and ensure the long-term success of our business.

• Mentor, coach, motivate, and influence solutions engineers and delivery teams on projects and initiatives across AFSG IT Servicing Solutions.

Why You Should Apply:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• You bring at least 10 years of software engineering experience with preferred technologies such as AWS Cloud Capabilities (VPC, Lambda, S3, IAM, Subnets, CloudFormation, Docker), Kubernetes, Microservices, React, Kafka, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Java, .Net Core, SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Tomcat server, IIS, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Mulesoft, LINUX/UNIX, and Windows server operating systems.

• You have hands-on experience in AWS implementation, including microservice architecture, serverless architectures, and containerization.

• You excel in providing technical leadership, end-to-end solution ownership, and technical strategy development.

• You possess expertise in software engineering best practices and have experience in designing and managing cloud capabilities to ensure critical SLAs and resiliency.

• You have a strong foundation of technical ability, business acumen, leadership skills, and a desire to help others grow.

• You are passionate about developing software, solution design, quality engineering, and learning business domains.

• You have successfully engaged with all levels of business and IT leadership in a consultative manner, identifying opportunities and delivering well-designed technology solutions to enable our Long-Term Strategic Plan for AFSG.

• You have an agile mindset, a penchant for innovative solutions, and strong engineering discipline.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
