What We Need

At BCBSMA, we are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer with Pega CRM experience to be part of the Service Center Enterprise Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge on CRM capabilities and Pega platform with a strong sense of design patterns and scalable programming practices. Experience in integrating with multiple upstream and downstream systems is a must.

In this key role, you will be leading the development of a state-of-the-art CRM system for the Service Center organization with performance and user experience as key guiding principles. You will help define the development best practices, build reusable component libraries and review the outcome from multiple development PODs. You will be working closely with the vendor teams and product owners to help clarify technical questions regarding the CRM solution and Pega platform. You will ensure the quality of the deliverables are met by each POD team for their respective stories.

Your Day to Day

  • Provides overall Architecture/Design for implementation of solutions on multiple projects or one large complex project under the guidance of the technical outcome lead.
  • Create prototypes and proofs of concept as a means of eliciting and defining requirements.
  • Map business requirements to Pega Infinity capabilities and decide when and which custom solutions (custom config or custom dev) are necessary.
  • Leads or participates in business and functional requirements definition and prioritization/scoping of requirements and sizing of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team (strategy/planning, architecture, business operations and enterprise technology delivery) to determine how best to implement Pega solutions.
  • Accountable for contributing to the successful delivery and quality of technology solutions by driving difficult conversations and removing roadblocks.
  • Architect and deliver a robust data model that supports the requirements.
  • Coordinate and work with a team of Pega Lead Architects and developers to drive the various parts of the CRM solution.
  • Establish standards and patterns to be followed by the entire team.
  • Review and approve design artifacts and deliverables from various POD teams.

We're Looking For:

  • 8 -10 years' overall Solutions Architecture experience
  • 5+ years in Pega CRM with minimum 2 years in Pega Infinity version.
  • Required Certifications: "Certified Pega Lead System Architect" (or) "Certified Pega Senior System Architect". Optional license "Certified Pega Customer Service Developer"
  • Common Data Model knowledge with Healthcare data knowledge and strong data modeling experience.
  • Knowledge of contact center technology stack such Cisco Telephony, Verint, Medallia, Conversational Chat platforms.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery of large enterprise implementations.
  • Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white board discussion or delivering a technical presentation.
  • Experience leading teams in the analysis of complex problems, and the design and implementation of related solutions

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Healthcare payer industry experience.
  • Healthcare contact center or user experience related knowledge.
  • Experienced with Pega projects that involved large data integration and data migration activities as part of project scope.
  • Strong ability in documenting proposed current and future state in terms of solution architecture, functional/technical specifications, data integration and data migration solution design.
  • Experience in Dev Ops practices and Jira.
  • Experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript.

LocationBoston Time TypeFull time Salary Range: $155,790.00 - $190,410.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
