Position Highlights:



  • Strictly outpatient practice with no on-call
  • Working with one Board Certified PM&R/Pain Management trained physician and dedicated staff
  • Robust in-house medical imaging facilities
  • Practice sites at two locations (Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, NY) within 25 minutes driving distance



Responsibilities:



  • Obtain history and physical exam and provide treatment options
  • Medication Management with focus on non-opioid medications
  • Follow-up with patients to assess response to treatment including physical therapy, medications, and interventional therapies
  • Opportunity to learn and perform office-based procedural therapies such as large joint injections including hip, shoulder and knee, and trigger point injections.
  • Interventional spinal procedures:


    • Ability to discuss indications and details of procedure with patients
    • Inform patients on Risk/benefit/alternatives with patients
    • Post procedure assessment for efficacy and complication

Required Qualifications:



  • Unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process
  • Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, Masters level preferred
  • National Board Certification
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start


Preferred Qualifications:



  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in at least one of the following specialties: Orthopedics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Neurology, and/or Neurosurgery



New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $114,784 to $160,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
