PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Capital Delivery Sourcing Professional I will support the Insulation or Roofing Capital Delivery sourcing strategy. Specific pillars of responsibility include supplier management, cost reductions and benchmarking driven through negotiations and material substitution, performance against specific sourcing metrics, and partnership with Commercial interests to maintain and diversify lines of supply . This position will manage cross departmental relationships, including but not limited to legal, engineering, and plant specific buyers.

Location: Granville, OH or could consider other locations with increased travel expectations


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates compliance with personal safety action plan and adheres to Owens Corning safety policies at all times.

Execution of Strategies:

Implement and execute capital-efficient strategies by aligning sourcing and supplier strategies with company growth programs, incorporating competitive intelligence.

This position manages supplier relationships and onboarding, manages ongoing relationships, maintains inflation and savings forecasts in a data-driven manner, and accounts for short, medium and long-term risks allocating resources to mitigate capital project risk as necessary.

Business Planning:

Develop, implement, and manage strategic sourcing/business plans over the long term, considering the Corporation's strategic goals, short-term cash and operational requirements, and changing nature of the supply/market/business environment.

Contract Management:

Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services, including the negotiation and management of associated contracts and agreements, ensuring timely delivery of quality products and services within budgeted cost targets.

Supplier Development:

Establish multi-regional relationships and leverage those relationships across all of OC.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications



  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related subject required
  • At least 3 years of work experience in manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing or business role
  • Engineering or construction contracts experience

  • Demonstrated rate of growth and success in prior roles
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a fast-paced and dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to respond quickly to the demands of the moment; remains productive and effective in a variety of environments
  • Demonstrated effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Problem solving and decision making through analytics and data
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational ability relative to strategy attainment through focus on financial risk and return
  • Preferred experience with SAP, Coupa, Icertis

  • Proven ability to think and execute strategically
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and relationship skills are necessary to work with a diverse spectrum of suppliers across business segments and across the globe
  • Demonstrates business and financial acumen and analytics, critical thinking and problem solving, and decision making through analytics and data.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and with suppliers
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, potentially more if not located in Granville, OH or Toledo, OH
