SUMMARY

Utilize job related software to manage work assigned. Be engaged in processes to reduce maintenance downtime. Have a safety-first mentality. Provide feedback to the supervisor as required to improve the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work with CMMS maintenance templates and maintenance technicians.
  • Develop daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual PMs for all plant and facilities equipment.
  • Manage work order system, track time and equipment required to complete repair.
  • Create and maintain list of critical spare parts and detailed parts lists for all equipment.
  • Generate and print PMs out of CMMS and distribute to technicians.
  • Close completed PMs and open work orders in CMMS.
  • Create a detailed vendor base for cross referencing parts.
  • Assist in coordination of uncompleted PMS and projects with scheduled changeovers.
  • Promote safety, environmental, and housekeeping throughout the facility.
  • Receive and organize all parts in designated areas.
  • Create monthly PM calendar for all shifts and print a daily log of work orders closed by shift.
  • Send parts out for repair as needed.
  • Ensure 5S standards are maintained throughout the department.
  • Complete daily cycle counts; support inventory reduction and annual inventory.
  • Operate forklift or other PIT equipment.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain plant tool crib.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence including reviewing opportunities for improvement or communicating ideas to management, as well as active participation on project teams.
  • Performs any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Windows based software (specifically Excel and Word) required.
  • Experience with CMMS programs, FIIX preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory accuracy and cycle counting.
  • Ability to research/resolve problems or issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve issues or problems on a day-to-day basis.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in a corporate environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position has a transitioning work environment. Office/computer, manufacturing plant and outdoor environments are normal. The noise level in the plant environment is usually moderate. Half of the time is spent in an office, and half on the production floor. Some of the work may require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, fall protection, hard hats, etc.
