Job Description

The Senior Transaction Coordinator will maintain a comprehensive, detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the closing and payoff polices; procedures; and business goals. This position reports to the Transactions Manager and works closely with internal and external parties to ensure the timely processing of payoffs and application of sales proceeds to meet monthly sales goals and timely closings.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reconciling and auditing the closing process with external title and closing vendors and the closing teams of the Outsourcers
  • Maintain a high level working knowledge of the closing process, policies and procedures and ensure all team members are coordinated in implementing them
  • Work closely with the accounting and capital markets teams to order and process payoff statements for homes in the closing process.
  • Assist with providing daily and monthly data in order to assure that service standards of the Dispositions team and each outsource partner are being met.
  • Close coordination with the internal accounting teams to reconcile sales proceeds by identifying and/or returning items in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the closing pipeline by reviewing the unfunded assets and quickly making decisions on resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Transaction Manager to address escalated closing issues.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is being obtained
  • Attend meetings with Title, Closing and Outsource vendors to address current issues.
  • Process all wire returns by determining the appropriate channels and track results to assure follow through of other department is met within the specified timelines.
  • Assist as needed with special projects.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: BA or BS in business administration, finance, management, real estate, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant real estate experience in title & escrow, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, or closing related roles.
