Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site of our customer in an end user support capacity providing exceptional customer service.
- Our Desktop Support Technician will perform a variety of duties in support of end users for IT hardware and/or software.
- Using knowledge in all aspects of computer design, functionality, system operation, and infrastructure.
- Desktop Technicians will be handling moving equipment between sites, imaging, refreshes, data migrations, etc. Could include some break/fix work.
- Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations.
- Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources
- Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices.
- Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).
- Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)
- Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment
- Primary responsibilities: Windows support, Desktop hardware support, Break/fix
Pay: $26+/hour
Hours: 4x10 work schedule (every Friday off), 1
st Shift
Length: 12m+ long-term contract with opportunity of extension
Here's what requirements you'll need:
- 3 years of experience migrating workstations to WIN 9 or 10
- 3 years demonstrating professional desktop support history with a variety of platforms / systems / applications and tools to include Operating system expertise - Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple, Network protocol and Image loading protocol
- 2 years LAN/NETWORK connectivity, and basic network connectivity assessment for troubleshooting or setups
- 2 years of experience in connectivity and telecommunications/networking
- 3+ years' Experience with Linux Operating Systems in an enterprise environment (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, 9)
- 3+ years' Experience with Windows Operating Systems in an enterprise environment (i.e., Windows 10, 11, GPO, Active Directory, Teams, Exchange, Skype etc.)
- Experience with Hardware repair. (HP equivalate)

- Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)
- Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment.
- Experience with Automation and Pipeline tools administration i.e. Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Nexus, OpenStack
- Experience with standard scripting languages (i.e., Perl, Bash, PowerShell, YAML, etc.)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (i.e., VMware, Horizon, Azure, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Hyper-V, etc.)
