Who We Are
The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring high-quality early education for children in Miami-Dade and Monroe. Through a community-based collaborative approach, we are committed to promoting high quality early learning, advocating on behalf of children and preparing every child for success in both school and life.
- Largest Early Learning Coalition among 31 similar organizations across the State of Florida.
- Deliver quality early learning to 750 children in high need neighborhoods.
- Provide school readiness services for more than 50,000 children ages birth to 12 years old throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe.
- Received the second-largest Early Head Start Grant in the nation.
Our Mission
To promote high-quality inclusive school readiness, voluntary pre-kindergarten and after school programs, thus increasing all children’s chances of achieving future educational success and becoming productive members of society. The Coalition seeks to further the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of Miami-Dade and Monroe County children with a priority toward the ages birth through age 5.
