Job Summary:

The Manager, HP Behavioral Health - Programs is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing BH clinical/non-clinical programs and reports to the Ohio Market BH Director. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for leading the team engaged in collaboration across the Market's regional and operational leadership to contribute to the operational, clinical and provider execution of the initiative to ensure CareSource's behavioral health quality, compliance, business, and advocacy goals are met, and to support the defined population and requirements. Coordinates with Ohio Leadership, Behavioral Health Regional Coordinators and Behavioral Health Initiative Specialists to ensure program execution; with matrixed responsibilities to Enterprise Behavioral Health to ensure needed resources and programs for implementation. Health Partner engagement shall be measured by confidence in CareSource's ability to fulfill promises, integrity to make things right when problems occur, pride in working with CareSource and their passion about CareSource being a vital member of the care team.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates and Manages multiple projects in coordination with Ohio and Enterprise BH teams, collect and analyze data and disseminate to appropriate departments as necessary
  • Collaborate with the OH MKT Leadership, HP Behavioral Health and Enterprise BH on the development of the program documentation, workflows, operational processes and resources for program implementation and execution
  • Responsible to ensure initiative alignment with CareSource strategy and programs, business and quality goals
  • Engagement and alignment with Ohio's regulatory programs to include Medicaid and CMS.
  • Collaborate with HEDIS team to identify opportunities to improve HEDIS measures
  • Provide BH clinical support for SIU, Case Management, Care4U and Coordinated Services Program, Patient Centered Medical Homes
  • Collaborate with health care services, communications and provider relations to communicate and educate key providers.
  • Assists with the development and evolution of the team's strategic direction, annual goals and objectives, recommends new processes and changes for increased department productivity
  • Provide proactive, high-level account development and support in order to drive the overall satisfaction and engagement of key Health Partners
  • Develop and implement the team business plan objectives, both in creating new plans and in identifying and responding to customer needs
  • Develop and educate providers on current Quality Initiatives and Cost Savings
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external business partners
  • Develop and report on key accomplishments and issues to upper management
  • Set targets and priorities in order to contribute towards meeting overall CareSource Network Strategy
  • Oversee the achievement of customer specific performance guarantees to include operations, clinical, pharmacy, behavioral
  • Implement local strategic plans in order to effectively influence providers, provider associations and Caresource impacted departmental departments
  • Outwardly support and be able to communicate the CareSource mission, goals of senior leadership and other stakeholders to the Health Partner community as well to the Provider Engagement team
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of interactions and projects by all team members
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Behavioral Health or Nursing is required, OR Bachelor's/Master's in healthcare field is required
  • Behavioral health clinical experience in a community behavioral health center setting preferred
  • Managed Care experience preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year leadership/management experience preferred

Licensure and Certification:

  • Employment in this position is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver's license record check. If the driver's license record results are unacceptable, the offer will be withdrawn or, if you have started employment in this position, your employment in this position will be terminated
  • Current, unrestricted RN, PCC, LPC, LCSW and/or LISW licensure in the state of practice is required; supervisory designation and/or additional chemical dependency licensure preferred
  • Certification in Case Management preferred
  • To help protect our employees, members, and the communities we serve from acquiring communicable diseases, Influenza vaccination is a requirement of this position. CareSource requires annual proof of Influenza vaccination for designated positions during Influenza season (October 1 - March 31) as a condition of continued employment. Employees hired during Influenza season will have thirty (30) days from their hire date to complete the required vaccination and have record of immunization verified.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Mobile Worker: This is a mobile position, meaning that regular travel to different work locations is essential. Will be exposed to weather conditions typical of the location and may be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • May be required to travel greater than 50% of time to perform work duties. A valid driver's license, car, and insurance are necessary for work related travel
  • Required to use general office equipment, such as a telephone, photocopier, fax machine, and personal computer
  • Flexible hours, including possible evenings and/or weekends as needed to serve the needs of our member and may refer members to other CareSource resources

Compensation Range:
$83,000.00 - $132,800.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
